A short trip taxi rank has been welcomed by a major taxi company at the Melbourne airport, for the local trips. This move has been welcomed after receiving the letters and comments from the residents of the Gladstone Park and Tullamarine who are facing tough time to get cabs for short trips from their homes to the airport.
Simon Purssey, the client service manager of 13CABS has introduced a new mapping system to ensure cars, in the suburban areas around the Melbourne airport, to get the short local trips, rather than those in the airport taxi queue.
He also said that Sydney has a short holding bay area which is always moving and also Melbourne should definitely get on board and told that now the drivers around the airport, close to the Greenvale, Attwood and Gladstone park areas, can just work off GPS.
